Sleeper

How to find your Sleeper league ID

Short version: you probably don't need it. Type your Sleeper username and we'll show you your leagues. If you do want the ID, it's the long number in the league's web address.

You usually don't need the ID

Sleeper will tell us which leagues a username is in, without either of us logging into anything — that is a public, read-only part of their API, and it is what the box below is doing. Type the username you play under, pick the league out of the list that comes back, and the ID never comes up.

Use the ID when the username route can't work: a league you are in under a second account, or one somebody sent you a link to.

Where the ID actually is

On the web app, open the league and look at the address bar. The long run of digits in it is the league ID — that is the whole of it, and it is the same number Sleeper's API calls league_id.

You do not have to pick it out of the address. Paste the entire link into the box below and we'll read the ID out of it — a bare number works too, and so does a sleeper.app link as well as a sleeper.com one.

On a phone there is no address bar, and the ID is copied out of the league's settings instead. Sleeper documents where, and their page is the one to trust on their own app — we don't keep a copy of it here to go stale.

What happens once we have it

Every manager in the league gets a page of their own guys, each player with an episode ready to play. Send the one link to the group chat and each of them taps their own team. What your league-mates see when you share it walks through that side of it.

We read the league. We never post to it, never join it, and never ask for your Sleeper password — the whole thing runs on the public read-only API.

Just drafted? One link sets up the whole league.

Paste your Sleeper league and every manager gets a page of their own guys — each one's episode ready to play, and one tap to get them all in a weekly email. Drop one link in the group chat.
