Austin Ekeler got more work against the Eagles than in any game this season: 8 carries for 36 yards in Washington's 27-10 win at home, as many carries as he had in three games through Week 7, when he ran 8 times for 31 yards. Down 10-3 in the second quarter, first and 10 at the Philadelphia 26, he ran off left end for 18 yards to the 8, +1.1 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position; Stefon Diggs scored on the next snap. After Rachaad White's 1-yard touchdown with 1:55 left, Ekeler ran in the two-point try for 27-10.
The rest was hard yards. Only 2 of his 8 carries gained positive EPA, and from the Philadelphia 7 in the third quarter he was stopped for no gain on first down before Washington settled for a field goal.
