Jordan Mason led Minnesota's backs against the Colts with 15 carries for 68 yards in a 16-10 win at home, and the carries cost more than they gained: -2.43 expected points added (EPA), what a play is worth given down, distance and field position. Five of the 15 (33%) gained positive EPA. Both of his targets fell incomplete.

His best carry came on the first-quarter drive to the opening field goal: second and 4 at the Indianapolis 47, 12 yards off left tackle to the 35, +0.82 EPA. After Aaron Jones was hurt in the fourth quarter, Mason took the last five carries, 25 yards in all, the longest a 12-yarder on second and 28 two snaps before the 52-yard field goal that made it 16-10.

It was his second game this season. In Week 1 against Green Bay he ran 15 times for 59 yards and a touchdown, at -0.20 EPA per carry; here it was -0.16.
