Justin Jefferson was Kyler Murray's third-down target against the Colts: 4 catches on 7 targets for 44 yards and +1.12 expected points added (EPA), what a play is worth given down, distance and field position, in a 16-10 win at home. Five of the seven targets came on third down, and two moved the chains.
His best snap came backed up. Down 7-3 early in the second quarter, second and 10 at the Minnesota 4, he caught a deep pass to the left and got out of bounds at the 25 after 21 yards, +1.98 EPA. On that drive he also caught a 10-yarder on third and 7 to the Indianapolis 30, +1.83 EPA, and the drive ended in a 47-yard field goal after a third-and-9 throw to him fell incomplete. His 7-yard catch on third and 5 in the first quarter set up first and 10 at the 12.
Through Week 5 he had caught 19 of 24 targets for 258 yards and 3 touchdowns, at +0.84 EPA per target; here it was +0.16.
