Tucker was thrown to four times Sunday and caught two for twenty-seven yards — a six-yarder in the first quarter and a twenty-one-yard catch deep left that set up Ashton Jeanty's second touchdown. A third-and-thirteen incompletion drew a fifteen-yard taunting penalty, and his four targets came out at plus three point eight expected points, in a 27–13 win over the Dolphins.

Tre Tucker's most valuable play Sunday was an incompletion. Third and 13 at the Las Vegas 30, 12 44 left in the second quarter, Raiders up seven to nothing: Kirk Cousins deep left, incomplete, and a taunting penalty on Miami's Julius Brents, 15 yards and a first down. The play was worth +2.6 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and +6.0 points of win probability, the chance of winning after the play against before it, and among the Raiders' passes and runs only Jack Bech's touchdown catch swung the game further toward Las Vegas. The drive ended in a field goal.
The line: four targets, two catches, 27 yards, no touchdowns, two first downs — one on a catch, one on the penalty — and +3.8 expected points on the targets. The catch that mattered was the 21-yarder: second and five at the Miami 45, 12 minutes left in the third, the lead just cut to 17 to 13 by Malik Willis's scramble, deep left to the Miami 24, +1.7, and Ashton Jeanty scored from the 13 three plays later. It was the only one of Cousins's six deep throws that was caught. The other catch was six yards short right on second and 10 at the Miami 43 with five 45 left in the first quarter, on the drive that ended in Bech's touchdown. The other incompletion was first and 10 at the Miami 10 with four 11 left in the third, short middle, on the possession that settled for a field goal.
The ball went seven times to Michael Mayer, six to Jeanty, five to Jalen Nailor, four each to Tucker and Bech, two to Malik Benson, one to Cody White, and one throw carries no receiver, with Brock Bowers inactive, per Ezekiel Trezevant at Raiders On SI, ruled out with a knee injury on the team's injury report at Raiders.com. Tucker's four targets were four of 30 pass plays, and his +3.8 compares with −1.6 on Nailor's five and −3.0 on Bech's four, both of which carried an interception. Las Vegas threw 17 times before halftime and 13 after, and ran 34 times for a hundred 36 yards; the passing game was a hundred 60 yards on 30 throws.
Back in June the preview called Tucker a lean, underpriced — receiver 63 at pick one 70 for a player who had led the Raiders in targets and receiving yards on an 18.6 percent share — and said the lean folds if Brock Bowers takes the tree back and Jalen Nailor's contract buys the perimeter. Sunday, with Bowers out, Tucker was fourth in targets on his own team, tied with Bech, and the four went further than anyone's. One game does not decide the share, and the preview's own caveat was about the share, not the yards per target. Las Vegas is at the Chargers on Sunday the twentieth.
