Tyreek Hill remains a free agent as of August 20-third, and this week's window produced nothing attributable to add — no signing, no visit, no workout, and no new medical reporting that we could reach. The most recent public accounting of the rebuilt left knee is still Hill's own, from his mid-summer update relayed by Kevin Patra at NFL.com: no power yet in the surgical leg, a timeline he called "looking real good," and the detail that doctors initially told him he might not walk again. His agent's June position — no set timetable — per Alex Kennedy at Pro Football Network via Yahoo, has not been updated in anything we found.
Back in June we said the file stacked two ifs, a knee that had not passed a physical and a team that did not exist, and that we would underwrite neither while also not pretending 6000-yard seasons evaporate. Both ifs enter September intact. The one calendar note worth adding: rosters cut to 53 next Sunday, August thirtieth, and the two weeks that follow are historically when receiver rooms lose starters and veteran phones ring. For Hill the sequence still runs one way — a cleared knee has to precede any of that mattering, and an athlete who said the power had not returned in midsummer is racing a clock nobody has published.
