Nothing to nothing, 14 18 left in the first quarter, first and 10 at the Ravens 43. Cam Ward's second throw of the day went short over the middle for Tony Pollard, and Simpson intercepted it and returned it 24 yards to the Titans 37. −6.7 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and −18 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. It was the largest swing of the game. Baltimore scored five snaps later.

The line: 20 of 31, 222 yards, one touchdown, one interception, one sack; four runs for 27 yards, the longest a 22-yard scramble on the last drive. 32 pass plays worth −3.9 expected points, and the interception was more than all of it: the other 31 came out at +2.8. 10 of 16 for a hundred 35 yards before halftime, 10 of 15 for 87 after. The last drive went 70 yards: 13 to Carnell Tate, the scramble, four to Wan'Dale Robinson, a 10-yard sack, five to Gunnar Helm on third and 16, 33 to Tate on fourth and 11, and the three-yard touchdown to Robinson. Then the two-point throw to Helm. On third down he threw six times and converted once, 12 yards to Tate on third and five.

12 of his throws went to Tate, five to Robinson, four to Pollard, two to Calvin Ridley, one each to Tyjae Spears, Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike, Helm and Daniel Bellinger, and three had no receiver.

Back in June the preview's watchlist question for Ward was the sacks. Four games: 75 of a hundred 19, 726 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions, six sacks. One sack Sunday. And 7.2 yards a throw, after 5.0 against the Giants.
