24 to 10, Ravens, one 51 left, fourth and 11 at the Baltimore 36. Cam Ward threw deep left to Carnell Tate, 16 yards in the air, and Tate was brought down at the three after 33. +4.7 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — the largest figure on any pass or run in the game. Wan'Dale Robinson caught the touchdown on the next snap, and the two-point try made it 24 to 18.
The line: 12 targets, nine catches, a hundred 45 yards, six first downs, +6.7 expected points on his targets, a hundred 60 air yards. The catches: 22 deep left on the first-quarter touchdown drive; 11; six; two on third and 11, fumbled and recovered by Tyjae Spears; 33 deep right with 46 seconds left in the half, fumbled at the Baltimore 37 and recovered by the Ravens; 12 on third and five to convert from the Titans 14; 13 to the Baltimore 20 on the field goal drive; 13 to open the last drive; and the 33. The incompletions: second and 10 at the Baltimore 35 in the second quarter; deep left from the Titans 26 in the third, 39 yards in the air; and third and 13 in the fourth. He also drew an 11-yard pass interference penalty. The lost fumble turned into a 64-yard Baltimore field goal.
12 targets were 43 percent of the Titans' 28; Robinson had five. His hundred 45 yards led everyone in the game.
Back in June the preview would not turn Tate's draft slot into a stat line and said to watch where the targets flowed. Through three weeks four throws the play-by-play labels deep had gone his way, and none was caught. Sunday he caught three of four. Four games: 32 targets, 22 catches, 268 yards. The targets have flowed his way, and this week the production came with them.
