Drop Rate — 2026 NFL rankings, updated Oct 16, 2026. Cade Otton (TB) dropped a higher share of his catchable targets than any other pass catcher, at 15.0% across 67 qualifying players. Based on verified play-level charting from FTN Data via nflverse, regular season only. Through Week 5 of the 2026 season.
A drop here is a pass a charter judged catchable that the receiver did not catch, and the denominator is catchable targets rather than every target thrown his way. That is the difference between this number and the drop rate quoted almost everywhere else: a ball thrown at a receiver's ankles never enters it, so what is left is much closer to a measure of hands than of quarterback accuracy. Topping this list is not an achievement.
