His 18-yard catch on third and 5 in a scoreless first quarter kept alive the drive to the game's first touchdown, in a 35–6 win over the Patriots.

  Parker Washington 2026 Season Preview — a real slot role, fairly priced

  Washington led Jacksonville in receiving yards in a year-three breakout, finishing WR27 across 16 games at 9.7 half-PPR points per game. That production was built on a defined slot role in Liam Coen's scheme — the kind of positional volume that tends to carry between seasons. His 74.5% availability rate over the past five years is the one number that cuts against a clean repeat.

  Parker Washington went from afterthought to leading Jacksonville in receiving in his third year — and the market has priced him just about right. No edge to sell, just a useful slot role in a scheme that feeds it. The Muffed 2026 preview.

  The 2025 season was the breakout: 58 catches on 95 targets for 847 yards and five touchdowns, nine-seven a game, WR27 per game and WR27 in total — and he led the Jaguars in receiving yards while sharing a huddle with Brian Thomas Junior, Travis Hunter, and Jakobi Meyers. The signature was a six-catch, a hundred 45-yard, one-score day against Denver in Week 16. A genuine ascending role.

  The arc is straight up: three-nine a game, five-eight, and now nine-seven. He's improved every season, and year three was the one where the volume finally arrived.

  What the data says: his touchdown share is a low 16 percent, so the five scores aren't a regression trap — if anything there's mild upside there. The catch is the volume: six targets a game is a useful complementary role, not an alpha's, and there's no pattern that fires for or against him. He's a solid slot receiver who finished right around where he's priced.

  The situation, per the reports, is the bull case the price already mostly reflects — with the room a little thinner than advertised: Liam Coen runs one of the most slot-friendly offenses in football — the role that fed Cooper Kupp and Chris Godwin — and Coen is on record expanding Washington's job: the screen game, the jet sweeps, "then the complete route tree of slot, outside." He's set to open as a starter for the first time, in a contract year. The honest cap is still the company: Thomas and Meyers command targets — though Travis Hunter, the fourth mouth, missed the whole spring after knee surgery and the team is unsure when he's full-go. A repeat of the late-season volume isn't guaranteed; the path to it is more visible than it was in March.

  The price: pick 80, the 30-fourth receiver. Verdict: NO CALL — he finished WR27 per game, and he's priced WR34, which is the market fairly valuing an ascending slot piece in a good scheme on a crowded depth chart. The counter cuts both ways: if Coen's slot role concentrates targets on him, WR34 is a touch cheap; if the room stays crowded, it's exactly right. A fair price on a real role — fine to draft, no bargain to chase.
