Parker Washington smashed the Eagles for the best game of his season: 9 targets, 6 catches, 124 yards, 2 touchdowns and +10.0 expected points added (EPA) on his targets. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.
The defining catch came with Jacksonville down 14-10 and 3:26 left. Fourth and 5 at the Philadelphia 27, one snap after a third-down incompletion: Trevor Lawrence threw deep right and Washington caught it for a touchdown and a 16-14 lead. That was +5.2 EPA and +37.2 points of win probability, the biggest swing of the game.
He opened the scoring too. At 0-0 with 5:36 left in the first quarter, first and 10 at the Jacksonville 49, he caught a short pass to the right and went 51 yards for a touchdown, +4.5 EPA. He gained 78 of his 124 yards after the catch. In the second quarter he converted third and 7 with a 16-yarder, +2.0 EPA.
