Stacked Box Rate
Stacked Box Rate — 2025 NFL rankings, updated Jul 26, 2026. Quinshon Judkins (CLE) ran into the league's most crowded fronts, facing eight or more defenders in the box on 45.2% of his carries across 49 qualifying players. Based on verified 2025 play-by-play data (nflverse); Half-PPR scoring.
A stacked box is eight or more defenders within a few yards of the line — the defense declaring it will stop the run and live with the throw. The share of a back's carries facing one is mostly a fact about his offense, not about him: backs on teams defenses do not respect through the air run into loaded fronts all year. It is the first thing to check before blaming a back for a low yards-per-carry.
