Chase Brown ran 12 times for 55 yards against the Titans and caught 8 of 9 targets for 46, and one carry outweighed the rest. His carries were worth -5.9 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, or -0.49 a carry; 4 of the 12 succeeded, meaning they gained what the situation asked for. His targets came to -0.8.

The fumble came up 23-21 on the first drive of the fourth quarter, second and 1 at the Cincinnati 49. Alontae Taylor knocked the ball out and Kevin Winston Jr. recovered at the Cincinnati 48: -5.5 EPA and 26.8 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win, the largest swing of the game. Tennessee scored four plays later to lead 28-23. Without that carry, his other 11 came to -0.4 EPA.

His best work came early. His 9- and 14-yard runs late in the first quarter moved Cincinnati from its own 45 to the Tennessee 32, and a 9-yarder in the second quarter reached the 17. He also had a 20-yard touchdown catch on third and 8 wiped out by a holding penalty, before Ja'Marr Chase scored from 30 on the next snap.

The carry rate was below his season. Through Week 7 he had 82 carries for 285 yards and a touchdown, -0.12 EPA a carry, with a 37.8% success rate, and 28 catches on 33 targets for 143 yards.
