17 to seven, Packers, five 42 left in the third quarter, second and five at the Tampa Bay 21. Jalon Daniels threw short middle to Chris Godwin for 13 yards and a first down at the 34. +1.4 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — Godwin's best catch of the day by that measure. It was the second snap of a 12-play drive that ended with Kenny Gainwell's touchdown, 17 to 14.
The line: seven targets, six catches, 31 yards, two first downs, +0.7 expected points on the targets, 16 air yards in all. The other first down was nine yards on second and eight late in the first half, and three more catches went for two, four and six. One went backwards: second and 10 at his own 15, six 35 left, down three, −3 yards, −7.7 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. A fumbled snap followed, and Tampa Bay punted from its own one.
Seven targets led the team, ahead of six to Cade Otton and four to Emeka Egbuka, on 27 throws.
Back in June the preview's read on Godwin was health first, then target share. He has played all four games, and the targets went four, three, four and now seven, the first time this season he led the team. Four games: 18 targets, 16 catches, a hundred 42 yards, no touchdown. The share moved on Sunday; the yards per catch did not come with it.
