Price carried 13 times for 52 yards, lost a fumble at the Arizona 47 with the game tied 7–7 in the second quarter, and broke a 25-yard run to the Arizona 7 on Seattle's first play of the second half. He had 9 of Seattle's 15 designed runs before halftime and 4 of 25 after it, as Emanuel Wilson carried 21 times in a 31–7 win over the Cardinals.

Seven to seven, 13 36 left in the second quarter, second and six at the Arizona 47. Jadarian Price went up the middle, Arizona's Collins knocked the ball loose and recovered it himself at the 47. −5.2 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and −10.5 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. By expected points it was the worst Seattle play of the day. Arizona went three and out, and the next Seattle carry was Price again, 11 yards around left end on the first snap of the following drive.
The line: 13 carries, 52 yards, no touchdown, one lost fumble, two first downs, three of the 13 successful, −7.5 expected points on the carries, 5.2 of it on the fumble. The carries went four, one, −3, nothing on the fumble, 11, −1, two, six, two, 25, −2, three, four. Nine before halftime for 22 yards, four after for 30. The 25 was Seattle's first play of the second half that counted: first and five at the Arizona 32 after an encroachment flag, tied at seven, around right end to the Arizona seven, +1.4 expected points and 5.5 points of win probability. Seattle had the ball there because it recovered Rashid Shaheed's fumbled kickoff return and ran it to the Arizona 37. Three snaps after the run, Jaxon Smith-Njigba scored the go-ahead touchdown. Price's two carries inside the 10 gained two from the six and lost two from the five. He was thrown to twice: a deep ball down the right side, incomplete, and an eight-yard catch on second and six for a first down.
The split: Emanuel Wilson 21 designed runs, Price 13, George Holani four, +1 each for Shaheed and AJ Barner. Price took the first five Seattle carries and nine of the 15 before halftime. After halftime he had four of 25. His last carry came with three 13 left in the third quarter and his last touch, the catch, with two 29 left in it; Wilson carried 12 times in the fourth quarter and Holani four.
Back in June the preview abstained on Price on purpose — the 30-second pick, a rookie walking into a backfield that had lost Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet, and no way to grade a back who had not played. Week 1 was 10 of the running backs' 20 carries for 52 yards, 13 of them on his first carry, and the questions it left were whether 10 becomes 15 and who gets the ball on third and one. 10 became 13, for the same 52 yards. The short-yardage answer was someone else again: Wilson took third and two, fourth and one and third and one at the goal line, and Barner took the fourth and one that scored. Price was the lead back by carries in Week 1 and second in Week 2, 13 of the backs' 38. Two games settle little, and one of them now has a fumble in it. Seattle is at the Commanders on Sunday the 20-seventh.
