Jadarian Price had his first carries since Week 3 against the Bears: 10 for 29 yards and -2.2 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, plus 2 catches on 4 targets for 8 yards, in a 34-17 loss at home. Two of the 10 carries were successful, meaning they gained what the situation asked for.
The best came right after DeMarcus Lawrence's fumble recovery, down 20-9 early in the fourth: first and 10 at the Chicago 25, he ran around right end for 9 yards to the 16, +0.8 EPA. After a penalty wiped out an interception, his 4-yard run reached the 7, and Cooper Kupp scored on the next play. In the first quarter his 8-yarder reached the Chicago 25 on the drive that ended in a field goal. The other seven carries gained 8 yards, three of them for no gain or a loss.
Per carry it was better than his first three games. Through Week 3 he had 28 carries for 119 yards, -12.5 EPA and two lost fumbles, -0.45 a carry with 35.7% successful; here it was -0.22 a carry with 20% successful.
