Jalen Nailor caught everything thrown his way against the Jets: 4 targets, 4 catches, 38 yards, a touchdown and +6.3 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Three of the catches came on third down, and all three converted.

The touchdown came down 30-28 early in the fourth quarter, five snaps after Ashton Jeanty's 45-yard catch. A first and goal at the 1 had gone backward to third and 2 at the 2 when Kirk Cousins threw short right and Nailor caught it for the lead, 35-30 after the extra point: +2.1 EPA and 8.0 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. The other two third-down catches were 12-yarders over the middle, on third and 3 on the opening touchdown drive and on third and 7 at the Jets' 22 on the drive that ended in Cousins's touchdown run.

It turned his season around in one afternoon. Through Week 7, in five games, he had 8 catches on 20 targets for 75 yards and -7.6 EPA.
