15 to 10, Vikings, four 22 left against the Dolphins, second and 10 at the Minnesota 33. Kyler Murray threw short middle to Jordan Addison, 12 yards in the air, and Addison took it 15 more to the Miami 40. 27 yards, +1.9 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 6.6 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. That drive did not give the ball back; it ended with Murray kneeling at the Miami seven.

The line: six targets, four catches, 52 yards, three first downs, +1.1 expected points on the targets. The other catches: two yards on third and two in the first quarter, a first down confirmed by replay; 19 deep left to open the drive to the field goal before halftime; and four in the fourth. Both misses were deep. A 21-yard catch deep left in the first quarter came back on a Minnesota illegal formation, and a one-yard catch in the second came back on an illegal shift called on him. One carry, −1.

Six of the 33 Minnesota throws with a receiver were his, 18 percent, third behind T.J. Hockenson's 13 and Aaron Jones's eight. Justin Jefferson has no line in this game's box score.

Back in June the preview called Addison a watchlist, with the quarterback as the swing and his share next to Jefferson as the September watch. Four games: 22 targets, 11 catches, a hundred 63 yards, one touchdown. With Kyler Murray the last two weeks, nine targets and then six; on Sunday the tight end had the volume.
