Harrison caught 3 of 5 targets for 40 yards, every catch a first down, the biggest a 19-yarder on third and eleven from the Arizona 31 with 7:40 left and Arizona down 29–20, its most valuable completion of the game. Five targets were one more than his first two games combined, in a 36–30 loss to the 49ers.

29 to 20, 49ers, seven 40 left in the fourth quarter, third and 11 at the Arizona 31, no huddle. Jacoby Brissett threw deep middle to Marvin Harrison, 18 yards in the air, 19 yards to midfield and the first down. +2.5 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — the most valuable completion Arizona threw all day, and 3.4 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. The drive had opened with an eight-yard sack. It ended with Brissett's one-yard touchdown run with two 55 left, 27 to 29 after the kick.
The line: five targets, three catches, 40 yards, three first downs, +1.1 expected points on the targets, and 85 air yards. The other two catches were in the second quarter: seven yards on second and five at the San Francisco 43 with nine 18 left, down 14 to nothing, on the drive that ended in Arizona's first field goal; and 14 short left on first and 10 from the Arizona 18 with a minute 30 left, the first snap of the drive that ended in the second field goal. The misses: his first target, third and seven at the Arizona 44 in the first quarter, deep left, 33 yards in the air, incomplete, with offensive pass interference called on him and declined, and Arizona punted; and third and 10 at the Arizona 24 with 45 seconds left in the third, incomplete short left, and a punt that San Francisco muffed back to Arizona. Three targets before halftime, two after. Three third-down targets, one caught, one converted.
Five targets tied him with Jeremiyah Love for third on the team, behind 17 to Michael Wilson and 11 to Trey McBride, on 50 Brissett throws with a receiver. That is 10 percent.
Back in June the preview made no call on Harrison: two seasons of production, with six targets a game the volume that had never been a lead receiver's volume, and the target share the thing to watch, because until it climbed the talent was theoretical. Week 1 was three targets and one catch, a 33-yard deep ball. Week 2 was one target. Sunday was five, on a day Arizona threw 52 times. Through three games it is nine targets to Wilson's 31 and McBride's 34. The count went up mostly because the offense threw more; the share climbed only to 10 percent. Three games settle little. Arizona is at the Giants on Sunday the fourth.
