Tee Higgins Smashed against the Ravens after halftime: 7 targets, 6 catches, 148 yards, a touchdown and +11.9 expected points added (EPA) in a 35-13 win at Baltimore. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. His only first-half target fell incomplete; all 148 yards came after the break.
The catch that turned the game came up 14-13 early in the fourth quarter. Second and 6 at the Cincinnati 33, Joe Burrow threw deep middle and Higgins caught it for 44 yards to the Baltimore 23, +3.2 EPA and 14.0 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. Samaje Perine finished the drive from the 1. On the next drive, first and 10 at the Baltimore 49, he caught a deep ball to the right for 43 yards to the Baltimore 6, +2.9 EPA, and Ja'Marr Chase scored three snaps after that. His touchdown came late in the third, down 13-7: first and 10 at the Baltimore 13, he caught a short pass over the middle and scored, +2.0 EPA, four snaps after his own 19-yarder on second and 6.
It was his second-biggest yardage day of the season, after 157 against Jacksonville in Week 4, and his most efficient. Through Week 5 he had 43 targets, 27 catches, 423 yards, 1 touchdown and +25.1 EPA, +0.58 a target; here it was +1.71 a target.
