Tony Pollard carried the load against the Colts and moved the ball more than he had all season: 19 carries for 76 yards, with 47% gaining positive expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. His rushing EPA was -1.8; his one target fell incomplete.

His best run came down 13-3 in the third quarter. Second and 8 at the Tennessee 43, 4:46 left: he went up the right guard for 16 yards to the Indianapolis 41, +1.7 EPA, and the drive ended in points that made it 13-6. Early in the fourth, down 13-6, his 6-yard run on second and 1 and 5-yarder to the Indianapolis 8 set up Carnell Tate's tying touchdown.

He finished it too. Up 23-20 after the Colts' fourth-down incompletion, he ran three straight times, 4 yards, 1 and no gain, to burn the clock before Tennessee kicked the field goal that made it 26-20.

It was a step up from his start. Through Week 5 he had 68 carries, 273 yards, 1 touchdown and -4.4 EPA, 38% of carries positive.
