17 to 13, Chiefs, 11 55 left in the game, third and 10 at the Kansas City 25. Kirk Cousins threw short left to Tre Tucker two yards behind the line, and Delane brought him down at the 26, a loss of one. −1.4 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and −8.6 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. Matt Gay kicked the field goal, 17 to 16.
The line: eight targets, four catches, 44 yards, two first downs, −1.6 expected points on the targets. 14 yards on second and 10 from the Las Vegas 40 in the second quarter, a first down on the drive that ended in a field goal; the loss of one; then two on the last drive, eight yards on first and 10 from the Las Vegas one, and 23 deep middle on second and 10 with 25 seconds left, to the Kansas City 49. Five of his targets traveled 18 yards or more in the air, and the 23 was the only one caught. Another deep incompletion his way in the fourth quarter drew roughing the passer and does not count. One target before halftime, seven after.
Eight targets were 17 percent of the 48 Raiders throws with a receiver, tied with Ashton Jeanty for third, behind Brock Bowers's 11 and Michael Mayer's 10.
Back in June the preview leaned toward Tucker and said the lean folds if Bowers takes the targets back. In Bowers's two games, Tucker has four targets and then eight. Four games: 23 targets, 15 catches, 233 yards, one touchdown. Sunday's share held up next to Bowers; the catches did not come with it.
