Adonai Mitchell had the biggest day of his season against the Raiders: 9 targets, 7 catches, 142 yards, a touchdown and +13.0 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Nearly all of the yards came in the air; he gained 1 yard after the catch all day.

The catch that defined it came down 35-30 with 6:11 left. First and 10 at the Jets' 40, Geno Smith threw deep left and Mitchell caught it 46 yards downfield, down to the Raiders' 13 for 47 yards: +3.0 EPA and 19.1 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. The drive stalled there and ended in a field goal.

The touchdown came down 14-13 with 6:23 left in the second quarter: fourth and 1 at the Raiders' 12, a short throw to the right, and Mitchell caught it in the end zone for a 20-14 lead after the extra point, +3.4 EPA and 7.0 points of win probability. He also converted third and 10 with a 17-yarder in the first quarter and third and 11 with a 20-yarder to open the second, on the drive that ended in Isaiah Williams's touchdown. Both of his incompletions were deep.

The 142 yards were more than his 123 in three games through Week 7, when he had 9 catches on 18 targets and +6.3 EPA, +0.35 a target. Here it was +1.44.
