The full read

Ashton Jeanty scored against the Bills but could not get the ground game going: 10 carries, 22 yards, 1 touchdown and -3.8 expected points added (EPA) on his runs. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. The receiving side was better, 4 catches on 6 targets for 36 yards and +2.4 EPA.

The score came first. Down 3-0 with 4:32 left in the first quarter, first and goal at the Buffalo 1, he went over left tackle for the touchdown and a 7-3 lead, his first rushing touchdown of the season. The snap that hurt came at the same yard line. Down 23-13 on the first play of the fourth quarter, second and 1 at the Buffalo 1, he was stopped up the middle for a 3-yard loss, -1.6 EPA and -6.4 points of win probability; the drive ended in a field goal.

His best catch came down 13-7 in the second quarter: third and 8 at the Las Vegas 28, a short pass over the middle went for 9 yards and a first down, +1.8 EPA. He added a 15-yarder later on the drive.

The run game is still the question. Through Week 5 he had 88 carries for 291 yards, -25.0 EPA and a 31% success rate; this week's success rate was 40%.
