Bhayshul Tuten had his first 100-yard game of the season against the Colts: 16 carries, 104 yards and a 39-yard touchdown, plus 2 catches on 2 targets for 55 yards and a second touchdown. His carries were worth +4.0 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, +0.25 a carry. Six of the 16 were successful, gaining what the situation asked for, 37.5%.
The run that defined it came up 14-0 with 2:00 left in the half. First and 10 at the Indianapolis 39, a snap after Jakobi Meyers's 10-yard catch: he went off right tackle 39 yards for the touchdown and 21-0, +4.0 EPA. It was the longest Jacksonville run this season, and his own longest before it was 20 yards. Without it his other 15 carries gained 65 yards.
He did the steady work early, 6 carries for 28 yards on the 98-yard opening drive. He finished the scoring late in the third: up 35-7, first and 10 at his own 17, he caught a short pass to the left and took it 30 yards to the Jacksonville 47, +1.9 EPA, and five snaps later he took another short pass 25 yards for the touchdown with 6 seconds left in the quarter, +2.6 EPA and 42-7.
It was a turn from his first six games. Through Week 7 he had 94 carries for 388 yards, 2 touchdowns and -4.3 EPA, -0.05 a carry, with a 42.6% success rate. As a receiver he had 13 catches on 14 targets for 126 yards, 2 touchdowns and +9.6 EPA.
