Brock Bowers scored twice against the Jets, both times on third down: 10 targets, 7 catches, 92 yards and +9.2 expected points added (EPA), his most this season, ahead of +8.6 in Week 3. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. It was his first game this season with more than one touchdown.

The first came down 3-0 with 7:29 left in the first quarter. A delay-of-game penalty had pushed the Raiders back to third and 12 at the Jets' 12; Kirk Cousins threw short left and Bowers caught it for the touchdown, +3.5 EPA and 9.8 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. A pass-interference flag on the play was declined. Three snaps earlier his 23-yard catch over the middle had taken the drive to the 7.

The second came down 23-14 in the third quarter, on a drive that opened with his 27-yard catch over the middle. From first and 5 at the 5, a defensive holding penalty on third down gave the Raiders another set, two runs gained a yard, and on third and 2 Cousins found Bowers over the middle for the score, +2.1 EPA. His 9-yarder to the 1 set up Cousins's touchdown run on the next drive.

Per target it was double his season rate. Through Week 7, in five games, he had 34 catches on 51 targets for 455 yards, 3 touchdowns and +23.9 EPA, +0.46 a target; here it was +0.92.
