Chris Rodriguez Jr. turned a short-yardage carry into a long touchdown against the Colts: 6 carries, 41 yards, a touchdown and +2.0 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, plus a 17-yard catch on his only target.

Up 28-0 midway through the third, three snaps after the defense stopped the Colts on fourth down, Jacksonville had third and 1 at the Indianapolis 28. Rodriguez went up the middle for a 28-yard touchdown and 35-0, +3.1 EPA. It was his longest run this season, against 25 before it. On the next scoring drive he converted third and 4 with a 5-yard run and caught a short pass to the right for 17 yards to the Indianapolis 25; Bhayshul Tuten scored on the next snap.

His other five carries gained 13 yards. Through Week 7 he had 39 carries for 168 yards, 2 touchdowns and +3.4 EPA, +0.09 a carry; here it was +0.34, and the catch was his second of the season.
