Seven to nothing, Bears, over the Jets, 11 52 left in the second quarter, first and 10 at the Chicago 43. Tyson Bagent threw deep middle for Colston Loveland, and Fitzpatrick intercepted and returned it 27 yards to the Chicago 34. −5.8 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and −12.7 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it, the largest swing of the game. The Jets kicked a field goal.

The line: nine targets, six catches, 57 yards, four first downs, −4.1 expected points on the targets, most of it the interception. The first 12 took the opening drive to the Jets three. The second converted third and one at the Jets 20 in the third quarter, and Kyle Monangai scored two snaps later. The 18 converted third and five in the fourth, on the drive that ran out the clock. One miss that cost: third and one at the Jets one, incomplete, the snap before the opening drive's fourth-down stop.

Nine targets led the Bears, ahead of Rome Odunze's seven, 29 percent of the team's targets.

Back in June the preview's read on Loveland was a role that looked real, with the target share, toward eight a game, as the September watch. Weeks 1 to 3 were two, three and four targets. This week was nine, the first game at the preview's number. Four games: 18 targets, 11 catches, 91 yards, no touchdowns. Half of those targets came on Sunday.
