14 to six, Cardinals, 13 18 left in the second quarter, on the Giants' first possession after Newsome's interception. Jameis Winston threw deep left for Darnell Mooney on second and five, 20 yards in the air, incomplete. On third and five he went short middle to Mooney again, incomplete, with Baker the defender on the play. −1.5 expected points added on that one — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and New York punted.
That was his day: two targets, no catches. Isaiah Likely had 12 targets, Malik Nabers seven.
Back in June the preview's read on Mooney was trust the targets and wait for the touchdowns, with his September target share the thing to watch. Four games: 10 targets, six catches, 95 yards, no touchdowns.
