Seven to nothing, Bears, nine oh six left in the second quarter, third and 12 at the Chicago 25. Geno Smith threw short left to Garrett Wilson, who was brought down at the 18, seven yards and five short. The Jets kicked a field goal.
The line: four targets, three catches, 27 yards, one first down, −1.2 expected points added on the targets — what the plays were worth given down, distance and field position. Three of the four came on third down and none moved the chains: six yards on third and seven from the Jets four in the first quarter, the seven, and an incompletion on third and four late in the third. The first down was 14 yards on first and 10 in the fourth, the snap before Isaiah Williams' 58-yard touchdown. Four targets tied Kenyon Sadiq for the Jets lead, on 15 throws.
Back in June the preview called Wilson a proven alpha whose ceiling hung on his quarterback. Four games: 31 targets, 24 catches, 270 yards, two touchdowns.
