Garrett Wilson kept two fourth-quarter drives alive against the Patriots without breaking one open: 4 catches on 6 targets, 44 yards, +3.9 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

Both conversions came down 23-13. Third and 2 at the Jets 28, 12:53 left: he caught a short pass to the right for 9 yards, and Dre'Mont Jones's roughing-the-passer penalty added 15, +2.1 EPA and +2.9 points of win probability. The next snap was Geno Smith's interception. On the following drive, third and 2 at the New England 47, he caught a 12-yarder to the 35, +1.4 EPA. At the 22, a pass to him fell incomplete, and the Jets settled for a field goal and 23-16.

He opened the game with a 15-yard catch over the middle to the New England 36, +1.0 EPA and +5.0 points of win probability.

It was a quieter day than his baseline. Through Week 5 he had 31 catches on 42 targets, 374 yards, 3 touchdowns and +19.6 EPA, with 104 yards in Week 5.
