30 to 20, Seattle, four 55 left in the fourth quarter, third and one at the Chargers' 41. George Holani went right guard and lost two yards. −2.3 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Seattle took a delay of game, punted, and pinned the Chargers at their own seven. On the snap before, Holani had gained eight to set up the third and one.
The line: seven carries, 18 yards, two of the seven successful, −4.0 expected points on the carries; one target, one catch, two yards. The longest was nine around left end in the first quarter, with five more added on a Chargers holding penalty. Two runs lost two yards each: the third and one, and a second and seven at the Chargers' 44 in the second quarter that cost 4.3 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. Seattle punted after both. He had seven of Seattle's 30 designed runs; Emanuel Wilson had 21.
Back in June the preview put Holani on the watchlist as the back reported to be leading the early repetitions in a thinned room. Through four games: 22 carries for 70 yards and seven catches for 52. Sunday was his most carries since the opener.
