George Kittle had his most catches and yards of the season against the Falcons: 10 targets, 8 catches, 88 yards and +2.7 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.
His biggest gains came on third down and in the third quarter. Up 7-3 in the first, third and 4 at the San Francisco 40, he caught a short pass over the middle for 17 yards, +2.19 EPA and 8.6 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. Down 19-14, second and 12 at his own 45, he caught a 20-yarder to the Atlanta 35, +2.16 EPA, on the drive that ended in Jessie Bates's interception.
The last one cost him. Down 29-20 with 57 seconds left, second and 10 at the Atlanta 41, he caught a short pass to the left and reached the 19 after 22 yards, and Bates forced a fumble that Kendal Daniels recovered at the 20: -2.53 EPA.
Through Week 6 he had 36 targets, 26 catches, 337 yards, 5 touchdowns and +13.4 EPA, +0.37 a target; here it was +0.27.
