Jakobi Meyers had his busiest game of the season against the Texans, and his targets still came out negative: 5 catches on 10 targets, 83 yards, -2.0 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

One throw decided that number. Down 7-0 with 13:24 left in the second quarter, third and 5 at the Houston 5, Trevor Lawrence threw short left for Meyers and Calen Bullock intercepted it in the end zone: -4.8 EPA and -12.9 points of win probability.

His catches moved the ball. Down 10-7 with 2:00 left in the half, his 9-yard catch on third and 8 reached the Houston 23, +1.4 EPA and +8.0 points of win probability, and Bhayshul Tuten scored on that drive. Down 24-14 in the third, he caught a 28-yarder deep left to the Houston 19, +1.8 EPA, on the drive Nate Boerkircher finished.

Through Week 5 he had 18 targets, 15 catches, 202 yards, 2 touchdowns and +17.7 EPA; his previous high was 8 targets in Week 3.
