15 to 10, Vikings, five 59 left, second and eight at the Miami 20. Malik Willis threw short right for Jalen Tolbert, two yards behind the line, incomplete. −0.7 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. It was the first throw his way this season, and the only one. On the next snap a deep throw to Chris Bell fell incomplete, and Miami punted for the last time. In the third quarter Tolbert made the tackle on a Minnesota punt return.

Back in June the preview read Tolbert as a change of scenery into a wide-open receiver room on a one-year deal. Week 3 his name was not in the play-by-play; Sunday it was there twice. One target is a start, not a role.
