Ja'Marr Chase did steady work against the Ravens: 7 targets, 5 catches, 62 yards, a touchdown and +5.8 expected points added (EPA) in a 35-13 win at Baltimore. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.
His biggest stretch came on one fourth-quarter drive. Up 21-13 with 9:19 left, first and 10 at the Cincinnati 21, he caught a short pass to the left and reached the Baltimore 49, 30 yards, +1.9 EPA. Three snaps after Tee Higgins's 43-yarder, third and 2 at the Baltimore 2, he caught a short throw to the right for the touchdown, +2.1 EPA, and a 28-13 lead after the extra point. On the opening drive he caught a 9-yarder on third and 5, +1.8 EPA. His one deep target, in the third quarter, fell incomplete.
It was a better rate than his season. Through Week 5 he had 38 targets, 27 catches, 289 yards, 4 touchdowns and +18.1 EPA, +0.48 a target; here it was +0.83, and the touchdown was his fifth.
