Jerry Jeudy — Week 3: One Throw, Wiped by a Flag
2026 NFL Season · Half-PPR Scoring · Monday, Sep 28
Jeudy has no line for Week 3. The one throw his way, deep right on first and ten from the Cleveland 38 in the first quarter, fell incomplete and drew a 17-yard pass-interference penalty on Carolina's Mike Jackson, so it does not count as a target. None of Deshaun Watson's 30 throws that counted went to him, in a 21–18 win over the Panthers.

Nothing to nothing, two 24 left in the first quarter, first and 10 at the Cleveland 38. Deshaun Watson threw deep right for Jerry Jeudy, incomplete, and Carolina's Mike Jackson was flagged for pass interference, 17 yards to the Carolina 45. Jackson was hurt on the play. Because the penalty was accepted, the snap is not a pass in the book, and Jeudy has no target for the day; it is the only time his name appears in the play-by-play. The drive ran into the second quarter and ended in a punt.
The line: no targets, no catches, no carries. Watson threw 30 passes that counted: nine to Harold Fannin, nine to KC Concepcion, five to Raheim Sanders, four to Denzel Boston, one each to Quinshon Judkins and Michael Burton, and one with no receiver named. Shedeur Sanders threw once, to Judkins. After the game Heavy, in a piece carried by Yahoo Sports, framed Jeudy as a growing problem for the Browns.
Back in June the preview made no call on Jeudy and split him down the middle: the target volume, about six a game, had survived a bad season and was the part that tends to carry, while yards per target was the part least likely to repair itself. Week 1 was four targets, all before halftime, one of them intercepted. Week 2 was one target on 30 throws. Sunday was none. Since halftime of Week 1, Cleveland has thrown 70 passes and one has been his. Five targets in three games, against a read built on six a game. The half of his profile the preview trusted is the half that has gone missing, and it has now been missing for most of three games. Cleveland is home to the Steelers on Thursday the first.
