J.K. Dobbins carried Denver's ground game against the Chargers: 18 carries, 68 yards, 1 touchdown, -2.9 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Half his carries were successful.

Up 20-17 with 3:19 left, he ran 13 yards to the Los Angeles 21, then on third and 9 at the 20 with two minutes left he gained 7 to the 13: +2.8 points of win probability, and Denver added the field goal for 23-17. After Justin Herbert's fumble at 17-17, his 14-yard run had moved the ball to the Los Angeles 9.

It was his busiest day of the season, and his 50% success rate compared with 26% before it. He had 8, 10, 17 and 11 carries in Weeks 1 through 4: 161 yards, no touchdowns and -7.6 EPA.
