J.K. Dobbins scored Denver's first touchdown against the Seahawks and found little room otherwise: 17 carries, 41 yards, 1 touchdown, -4.7 expected points added (EPA) on the ground. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Only 12% of his carries gained positive EPA, and six went for no gain or a loss.

The touchdown capped a drive that started in the first quarter. Down 3-0, second and 4 at the Seattle 4, 12:56 left in the second quarter: Dobbins ran behind right tackle and scored, +1.4 EPA and +5.9 points of win probability, for a 7-3 lead. His best run came on Denver's next possession, 16 yards on first and 10 to the Seattle 40, +0.9 EPA, on the drive RJ Harvey finished for 14-3.

The late carries did not move the ball. Up 14-11 with 1:25 left, after Kris Abrams-Draine's interception, he ran for 2 yards and then no gain, and Seattle got the ball back. His 3 catches went for 5 yards and -1.5 EPA.

He has scored in back-to-back weeks. Through Week 5 he had 64 carries, 229 yards, 1 touchdown and -10.5 EPA, with 33% of carries positive.
