Wilson was thrown to seven times, second on the Cardinals behind Trey McBride's 10, and caught two for 18 yards. The deep ball intended for him on third and seven with 11:39 left in the third quarter was intercepted by Julian Love. He also drew two defensive pass interference flags worth 21 yards that are not in his line, in a 31–7 loss to the Seahawks.

14 to seven, Seahawks, 11 39 left in the third quarter, third and seven at the Arizona 23. Jacoby Brissett threw deep left for Michael Wilson, and Julian Love intercepted it at the Arizona 44. −2.8 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and −4 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. By expected points it was Arizona's worst play of the day. Seattle turned it into the field goal that made it 17 to seven. Two snaps earlier Brissett had gone deep right for Wilson on first down, incomplete. Those were the two Arizona throws all day that the play-by-play labels deep, and both were his.
The line: seven targets, two catches, 18 yards, one first down, −5.0 expected points on the targets, the interception included. 50 air yards, the most on the team. The catches were nine yards each: first and 10 at the Arizona 39 with six 16 left in the first quarter, the first snap of the touchdown drive; and third and six at the Arizona six with a minute oh four left in the half, pushed out of bounds at the 15, converted, worth 5.7 points of win probability. Three targets before halftime for the two catches; four after for none. Three third-down targets, one conversion. Two plays that are not in his line: he drew defensive pass interference on third and five in the first quarter, eight yards and a first down on the touchdown drive, and again in the last minute of the half for 13.
Seven targets were second on the team to Trey McBride's 10. Among the wide receivers it was Wilson seven, Kendrick Bourne three, Marvin Harrison one.
Back in June the preview leaned underpriced on Wilson — the twentieth receiver per game a year ago on a hundred 26 targets, priced behind Harrison — and named two things to watch: the share with a healthy Harrison in the room, and the quarterback play, the tide under the whole receiver group. Week 1 was seven targets, five catches, 56 yards. Sunday was seven again, for two and 18. The share is what the preview expected: 14 targets to Harrison's four through two games. The tide is the other half, and on Sunday it went out: 95 passing yards for the team. Two games, one of each kind, settle little. Arizona is at the 49ers on Sunday the 20-seventh.
