Seven to seven against the Patriots, 10 oh eight left in the second quarter, Buffalo's ball at its own 30 after a strip-sack. Josh Allen threw short left to Ray Davis for four yards, and on the next snap Davis ran up the right guard for three. Allen's third-and-three throw fell incomplete, and Buffalo punted. Those were his two touches from scrimmage. He also returned the kickoff after New England's third-quarter touchdown 29 yards to the Buffalo 34. James Cook had 12 of Buffalo's 20 rush plays.

Back in June the preview's line on Davis was depth-chart access rather than a defined weekly role. Over the first three weeks he had one carry and three kickoff returns. Four games: two carries, one catch, four kickoff returns for a hundred 11 yards.
