Back after missing Week 2, Harvey caught 6 of 7 targets for 41 yards, tied for the team lead in targets and first in catches, and ran twice for 6. A 19-yard catch on first and 15 in the second quarter was his one first down, and he was injured on a no-gain catch at the Los Angeles 5 in the third before returning in the fourth, in a 30–26 win over the Rams.

13 to nothing, Rams, four 15 left in the second quarter, first and 15 at the Denver 19, one snap after an illegal-formation penalty wiped out his seven-yard run. Bo Nix threw short left to RJ Harvey, a yard behind the line, and Harvey ran out of bounds at the Denver 38 after 19. +1.0 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 2.3 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. It was his only first down of the night, and the drive ended in a punt.
The line: seven targets, six catches, 41 yards, one first down, +0.2 expected points on the targets; two carries, six yards, −0.8 on the carries. The catches went six, five, 19, nine, nothing and two. The nine was second and 10 at the Los Angeles 31 early in the third quarter, pushed out at the 22. The no-gain catch was second and five at the Los Angeles five with eight 22 left in the third, and the play-by-play records him injured on it; the next snap was Pat Bryant's touchdown. It notes him back in the game with 13 oh seven left in the fourth, and his last target was two yards on second and eight at the Los Angeles 13 on the winning drive. The carries, four yards up the middle and two off left tackle, both came in the first half. Three targets before halftime, four after, none on third down.
Seven targets tied Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton for the team lead, and six catches led the Broncos. Two carries against 17 for J.K. Dobbins. Rookie Jonah Coleman, who had 10 carries in Week Two, was on injured reserve with an ankle injury, per NBC Sports.
Back in June the preview called Harvey a useful piece with two parts pulling against each other: a 47-catch receiving role it considered the durable part, and a 35 percent share of Denver's touchdowns it expected to regress, with a three-way split with Dobbins and Coleman capping the rest. Week One was three carries and four catches, and he was the only Denver back targeted. He was inactive in Week Two, per the Broncos' team site, with a hamstring injury, per CBS Sports. Sunday was the Week One shape, larger: two carries and seven targets, the receiving role the preview said would hold. No touchdown in his two games. Denver is at the 49ers on Sunday the fourth.
