RJ Harvey got few touches against the Seahawks and made most of them work: 6 carries, 25 yards, 1 touchdown and +2.3 expected points added (EPA) on the ground, plus 3 catches on 4 targets for 31 yards and +2.1 EPA. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Five of his six carries (83%) gained positive EPA.
The touchdown came in the second quarter, up 7-3. First and goal at the Seattle 1, 5:19 left: Harvey took a direct snap and went in over right guard for 14-3. Earlier on that drive he converted third and 1 at the Seattle 31 with a 7-yard run.
He set up Denver's first touchdown too. Down 3-0, second and 8 at the Seattle 16, he took a short pass to the right 12 yards to the 4, +1.6 EPA; J.K. Dobbins scored two plays later. His 16-yard catch on second and 7 in the first quarter was worth +1.4 EPA. In overtime, at 14-14, his 5-yard run was the first snap after Ja'Quan McMillian's interception, on the drive that ended in the winning field goal.
It was a different day from his first four games. In Weeks 1, 3, 4 and 5 he ran 15 times for 56 yards and -2.1 EPA, 40% of carries positive, with no rushing touchdown, and caught 20 of 22 targets for 132 yards.
