Kamara is the unresolved piece. That preserves his week-to-week availability, and it is a roster decision, not a practice report. Nothing in the week put him on a field.

And Etienne? Last week's watch line asked whether he'd finally play a drive in the finale. He didn't — Kellen Moore rested the starters, the recap credits him with nothing, and he finishes August with zero preseason snaps of record. That's worth sitting with: there is no Etienne evidence this week. No snap, no quote, no practice note. The case for him as the featured back is built from other backs' departures plus outside framing — Jason Katz at Pro Football Network wrote that the Saints brought Etienne in "to handle the bulk of the offensive work" — not from anything Etienne did.
