Wan'Dale Robinson — Week 1: Five of Six, and Nothing Past Ten Yards
2026 NFL Season · Half-PPR Scoring · Monday, Sep 14
Robinson caught five of six targets for thirty-eight yards in his first game as a Titan, converted third and four with a ten-yard catch in the third quarter, and his six targets were worth plus three point zero expected points, the most of any Tennessee receiver. Four of the five catches came after halftime and none went longer than ten yards, in a 23–10 loss to the Jets.

Wan'Dale Robinson was the one Titans receiver whose targets added up to something Sunday. Third and four at the Tennessee 33, three 45 left in the third quarter, Titans down 20 to three: Cam Ward short left to Robinson, 10 yards to the 43, first down. That catch was worth +1.6 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and it was one of four third downs Tennessee converted in 12 tries. Two of the other three were Ward scrambles.
The line: six targets, five catches, 38 yards, no touchdowns, longest 10, +3.0 expected points on the targets, the highest figure for any Titan thrown to. 23 air yards across the six targets; nothing was deep. The catches were five on second and eight late in the first half, nine on second and five to open the third for a first down, the 10 on third and four, six on second and five from the Tennessee seven for another first down early in the fourth, and eight on first and 10 to open the last drive. The one incompletion was his first target, second and three at the New York 47 in the first quarter, a throw the play-by-play marks two yards behind the line. Two targets came before halftime and four after; three of the five catches moved the chains.
Six targets tied Carnell Tate for the team lead. The two lines look alike — six targets, 38 yards each — and the shapes were opposite: Tate's six carried 67 air yards and two deep incompletions, Robinson's carried 23 five catches. Gunnar Helm had five targets, Tyjae Spears four, Elic Ayomanor three and the touchdown, Tony Pollard two. Calvin Ridley was not thrown to.
Back in June the preview's read on Robinson was a sixteenth-ranked receiver season with the Giants built on sustained target volume — 10.7 a game across 16 — and the question of whether the volume travels. Sunday it traveled as far as a tie for the team lead, on a day Tennessee threw 35 times from behind, and the yards were 38. One game says the targets came; it cannot say what they are worth when the Titans are not trailing by 17. Tennessee is home to the Eagles on Sunday the twentieth. The number to watch is targets in the first half.
