12 to nothing, Giants, five 39 left in the fourth quarter, third and four at the New York four. Cam Ward threw short right to Wan'Dale Robinson for the touchdown, the only one of the game. +2.7 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 8.9 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. It was Robinson's first touchdown as a Titan, and it came against the team he caught 92 passes for last season. The kick made it 12 to seven.

The line: 11 targets, seven catches, 57 yards, one touchdown, four first downs, −0.2 expected points on the targets, 62 air yards. The catches: one yard on third and four in the first quarter, and a punt; six on first and 20 in the second quarter; 16 on first and 10 from the Tennessee 47 with a minute 24 left in the half, out of bounds at the New York 37; nine on second and nine in the fourth, a first down at the New York 44; the touchdown; 12 on first and 10 to open the last drive from the Tennessee 23; and nine on third and 10 from the New York 33 with 55 seconds left, pushed out a yard short at the 24. On fourth and one a Giants encroachment penalty gave Tennessee the first down, and the next throw, first and 10 at the 18, went to Robinson short middle and fell incomplete. The other misses: third and five from the Tennessee 16 on the Titans' first possession; deep left on third and seven from the Tennessee 13 in the second quarter, 27 yards in the air; and second and five at the New York seven late in the third. Five targets before halftime, six after. Five third-down targets, three caught, one converted, and that one was the touchdown. One more catch does not count: 28 yards to the New York nine with a minute 18 left in the half came back on offensive pass interference against Elic Ayomanor, and that drive ended in a missed 59-yard field goal.

11 targets were the most on either team, 31 percent of the 35 Titans throws that had a receiver. Carnell Tate had nine, Tony Pollard and Gunnar Helm four each; Malik Nabers led the Giants with six. Robinson's 57 yards were one behind Tate's 58.

Back in June the preview called Robinson a lean: 92 catches and a thousand 14 yards for the Giants last season on a hundred 40 targets, the kind of volume that tends to repeat, and it said to watch his share against Tate and Calvin Ridley. Week 1 was six targets, a tie for the team lead. Week 2 was one, and that episode said the evidence pointed against the call. Sunday was 11, the most on the field, against his old team. Three games: 18 targets, 13 catches, a hundred four yards and a touchdown, six targets a game. This week put him back at the top of the target list, where the preview said he belonged; one week after a single target, three games are not yet a pattern either way. Tennessee is at the Ravens on Sunday the fourth.
