Antonio Williams — Week 4: An 87-Yard Touchdown Taken Back
2026 NFL Season · Half-PPR Scoring · Tuesday, Oct 6
Williams drew 8 targets, twice his previous high, and caught 3 for 21 yards with no first downs; an 87-yard touchdown on third and 11 in the third quarter came back on an illegal shift, and the interception that opened the second half was thrown his way, in a 30-13 loss to the Colts.

20 to 13, Colts, two 25 left in the third quarter, third and 11 at the Washington 13. Athan Kaliakmanis threw short right to Antonio Williams, and the play went 87 yards for a touchdown. An illegal shift on Washington wiped it out. Two snaps later Washington punted, and in Williams's line the play counts for nothing.
The other big moment went the wrong way. Third and 17 at the Washington 24, the first Washington series of the second half, down 10 to six: short right for Williams, intercepted by Carlies and returned to the Washington 20. −3.4 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and −5 and a half points of win probability, the chance of winning after the play against before it. On the fourth snap after it, the Colts scored.
The line: eight targets, three catches, 21 yards, no first downs, −6.7 expected points on the targets, 97 air yards. Four came on third down and none moved the chains; the one catch among them, five yards on third and six, came up a yard short, and the fourth and one that followed failed. Two deep throws, from 43 22 yards in the air, fell incomplete. The other two catches, nine and seven, came on Washington's first possession of the fourth quarter, down 27 to 13.
Back in June the preview refused to fake precision on Williams's role in a first-year offense. Last week's episode said the catch rate had come down to earth and the share had not grown. Sunday the share grew — eight of Washington's 36 targeted throws, second to Stefon Diggs's nine, after four, three and four targets — and the catches did not come with it. Through four games, 12 catches on 19 targets for a hundred 24 yards and one touchdown.
