Jeanty carried twenty-three times for a hundred two yards and caught all six of his targets for forty-five yards and two touchdowns — thirteen yards on third and eight with one twelve left in the half, thirteen more on first and ten in the third quarter. His twenty-three carries were the most on a Raiders team that ran thirty-four times, in a 27–13 win over the Dolphins.

The most valuable play any Raiders offense produced Sunday was a 13-yard catch by Ashton Jeanty. Third and eight at the Miami 13, one 12 left in the second quarter, Las Vegas up 10 to three: Kirk Cousins short middle, Jeanty into the end zone, 17 to three. The play was worth +3.3 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and +3.9 points of win probability, the chance of winning after the play against before it, and no Raiders pass or run gained more expected points all day. He scored again with 10 oh six left in the third, first and 10 at the Miami 13, short left, 13 yards, 24 to 13, the answer to Malik Willis's touchdown scramble.
The rushing line: 23 carries, a hundred two yards, no touchdowns, seven first downs, 10 of the 23 successful, and −0.7 expected points on the carries. The longest was 15, second and 10 at the Las Vegas 45 with eight 24 left in the third, behind the right tackle to the Miami 40; the drive ended in a field goal. Seven carries before halftime for 43 yards, 16 after for 59 — 10 in the third quarter for all 59, and six in the fourth for nothing at all, −4, no gain, four, three, no gain, −3. On third and three at the Miami 17 with four 49 left in the third he went left guard for seven and a first down. The receiving line: six targets, six catches, 45 yards, two touchdowns, +2.8 expected points, three catches in each half.
The split: Jeanty 23, Mike Washington seven, Cousins two, one of them a scramble, Connor Heyward one, Malik Benson one. Las Vegas ran 13 designed runs before halftime and 20 after, and threw 17 times and 13. In the passing game he was second in targets — Michael Mayer seven, Jeanty six, Jalen Nailor five, Tre Tucker and Jack Bech four each, with Brock Bowers inactive, per Ezekiel Trezevant at Raiders On SI, ruled out with a knee injury on the team's injury report at Raiders.com — and his 45 receiving yards were the most on the team. 29 of the Raiders' 64 pass and run plays were his.
Back in June the preview called Jeanty a watchlist — the sixth back off the board at pick 12, priced on a year-two leap the data could not license one way or the other, a bet the preview said was on Klint Kubiak rather than on the receipts. Sunday was the workload the bet assumes, 23 carries and six catches, with the touchdowns through the air and the rushing efficiency a shade under zero. One game settles neither the leap nor the carry; the volume was not in question. Las Vegas is at the Chargers on Sunday the twentieth. The number to watch is 23 against seven.
