Braelon Allen scored the winning touchdown for the Jets against the Browns: 24 carries, 116 yards, 1 touchdown, +0.9 expected points added (EPA) on the ground. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

The run that decided it came after Cleveland fumbled a punt and the Jets recovered at the Cleveland 23. Down 12-10 with 3:07 left, third and 9 at the 22, Allen went off left tackle for 22 yards and the touchdown: +3.9 EPA and +19.9 points of win probability, and the Jets led 17-12. In the third quarter, up 7-6, he turned third and 3 at the Cleveland 29 into an 18-yard run to the 11, +1.8 EPA.

Between the long runs it was slow going. One carry in three (33%) gained positive EPA, against 45% in Weeks 1 through 4, and he was stopped for losses of 2 yards twice in Cleveland territory. As a receiver he caught 1 of 4 targets for no gain, -2.7 EPA.

The workload was new. 24 carries were his most this season, after 10, 5, 4 and 14, and 24 of the Jets' 30 runs. His 116 yards nearly matched his 120 across Weeks 1 through 4, when he was -3.4 EPA on 33 carries.
