Brooks did not carry the ball, his first game this season without a carry, and caught his one target for 4 yards on second and ten at the Atlanta 44 with 2:10 left, down 35–14. He also made the tackle on a 30-yard kickoff return after Matthew Golden's touchdown. Green Bay ran 9 times for 17 yards, the fewest of any team in a game this season, in a 35–14 loss to the Falcons.

14 to 35, two 10 left in the fourth quarter, second and 10 at the Atlanta 44. Jordan Love threw short right to Chris Brooks, a yard behind the line by the air-yards figure, and Brooks took it to the 40 for four yards. −0.1 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. That is his whole night on offense: one target, one catch, four yards, no carry. His other appearance in the play-by-play is on the kickoff after Matthew Golden's touchdown with eight 18 left: Trey Smack kicked to the Atlanta three, Brian Robinson returned it 30 yards to the 33, and Brooks made the tackle.
Where the carries went: MarShawn Lloyd four for 11 yards, Kaleb Johnson four for six, and Love's one aborted snap. Nine rush plays for 17 yards against 54 pass plays, the fewest rush plays and the fewest rushing yards by any team in any of the 66 team-games this season. Green Bay trailed 17 to seven at halftime and by at least 10 for the whole second half. Josh Jacobs remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List, per NBC Sports.
Back in June the preview made no call on Brooks: the 70-fourth running back off the board, a deep handcuff with no standalone role and a ceiling set by the men around him, and 13 catches a year ago as the one tell worth holding. Week 1 was seven carries for 29 yards. Week 2 was four carries and the 15-yard overtime catch that set up the winning field goal. Thursday was no carries and one catch for four. Seven, four, none: three games, and the carry count has fallen each week, this one to zero on a night the whole backfield got eight. Green Bay is at the Buccaneers on Sunday the fourth.
